Day 1 - Departure
Evening departure. Dinner and breakfast served on board.
Day 2 - Madrid
Upon arrival, you will be met by a Bravo representative and
transferred to your hotel. Dinner and lodging.
Day 3 - Madrid - Royal Palace - Prado Museum
Breakfast. Morning tour including the Royal Palace
and Prado Museum. In the afternoon relax, shop, or see other
places of interest. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.
Day 4 - Madrid - Avila - Segovia
Breakfast, Tour of Avila, the birthplace of St.
Teresa, where you will visit St. Teresa's Temple, the Convent of
St. Thomas and the Cathedral. Then, on to the typically
Castillian city of Segovia, with its universally famous Roman
Aqueduct and its magnificent Alcázar. Lunch is included. Late
afternoon return to Madrid. Dinner and lodging.
Day 5 - Madrid - El Escorial - Valle De
Los Caídos - Sevilla via Ave
Breakfast. Then you will leave for El Escorial,
the 16th century monastery - palace commissioned by Philip II.
Afterwards, your excursion continues on to El Valle de los
Caídos, Spain's tribute to those who died during its Civil War.
Lunch. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the train
station for your 2-1/2 hour trip to Sevilla via the high speed
Ave. Upon arrival in Sevilla, you will be transferred to your
hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 - Sevilla - City Tour
Breakfast. City tour visiting the Cathedral, the
Giralda, the Alcázar and its gardens, and the Santa Cruz
Quarters. Afternoon free to walk along the paths of beautiful
María Luisa Park. Dinner and lodging.
Day 7 - Sevilla - Granada - Córdoba
Breakfast in Sevilla. Then, on to Granada and a
city tour that visits the Red Citadel of the Alhambra Palace, the
Generalife Gardens, and the Palace of Charles V. Lunch.
Afterwards, continue to Córdoba. Your evening is free to enjoy
the warmth of the south. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.
Day 8 - Córdoba - Toledo
Breakfast. After your visit to the famed Mezquita,
a fine example of mudéjar architecture, you will
continue on to Toledo. Lunch. Then, you tour Toledo where you
will visit the Cathedral, Santo Tomé Church, and see El Greco's
most famous painting, "The Burial of the Count Orgaz,"
the Synagogue, Bisagra's Gate, Alcántara's Bridge and the
Alcázar. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport in Madrid for
your return flight.
