Spanish Highlights - Salamanca/Mérida/Toledo - 9 Days

Day 1 – Departure
Evening departure. Dinner and breakfast served on board.

Day 2 – Salamanca
Upon arrival in Madrid, you will be met by a Bravo representative and transferred to Salamanca. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Salamanca + Ganadería
Breakfast. Morning panoramic tour of “the golden city”, see the Cathedral, La Plaza Mayor, the university, la Casa de las Conchas and more. In the afternoon, visit a bull breeding farm. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Avila - Segovia 
Breakfast. Depart for the medieval walls of Avila to see the city of the mystic – Santa Teresa. Then, on to visit Segovia with its Aqueduct and Alcázar. Return to Salamanca for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Cáceres – Mérida
Breakfast. Depart for the region of Extremadura to have a panoramic view of the city of Cáceres – a city that is a living museum of the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. You might even see a stork flying over head. Then, on to Mérida to see one of Rome’s greatest out-posts. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Trujillo – Lagartera – El Puente del Arzobispo
Breakfast. Depart to visit Trujillo, the cradle city of conquistadores, the home of Francisco Pizarro. After a panoramic tour, on to Largartera to see the fine embroidery of the local craftswomen. Then, visit El Puente del Arzobispo to see its famous pottery. Continue to Toledo for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Toledo – Madrid + Prado
Breakfast. Morning visit to see the Cathedral, Santo Tomé Church, El Greco’s“ the Burial of Count Orgaz,” la Sinagoga de María la Blanca, and a demasquinado factory. In the afternoon, head for Madrid for a panoramic city tour followed by a guided Prado Museum visit. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – Flamenco and Tapas
Breakfast and a full day to pursue your own sightseeing or shopping. Evening Flamenco Show and tapas. Overnight Madrid.

Day 9 – Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
