WHAT TO PACK

The following list is what we feel is necessary for your trip abroad. REMEMBER YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED 2 PIECES OF LUGGAGE PER PERSON ON THE PLANE BOTH WAYS, so if you plan to buy anything on your trip, you better start off light. PLEASE don’t take your whole wardrobe and expensive jewelry, and please do follow our suggestions.

We suggest you take one suitcase and a flight bag that will fit under the seat in the plane. Carry-on bags must comply with federal and airline regulations. On charter flights, you are only allowed 44 lbs. per person on the plane both ways.

GENERAL NECESSITIES

1. One lined raincoat, or a light weight raincoat.
2. One heavy sweater.
3. Two pairs of good comfortable walking shoes.
4. One pair of dress shoes.
5. Washcloth and small packages of tissues.
6. If you suffer from motion sickness, check with your doctor to prescribe or recommend the right medicine.
7. An electrical converter. European current is 220 volts.
GIRLS
1. Personal items.
2. One dressy outfit.
3. Three mix and match outfits.
4. Long sleeve tops + one short sleeve.
5. Warm pajamas or nightgown.
6. Robe or cover up.
7. Underwear.
8. One scarf or hat.		 BOYS
1. One suit or sport coat + one pair of dressy slacks.
2. Two pairs of casual slacks.
3. Two good shirts.
4. Three shirts (casual or knit) or sweaters.
5. Five changes of underwear.
6. Personal items.
7. Handkerchiefs, socks, belts, tie.

MISCELLANEOUS

1. Tip Pack of foreign currency. You can purchase $10 / $20 worth of foreign currency from the bank before leaving on your trip.
2. Travelers Checks.
3. Write down three copies of the numbers of the Travelers Checks. (Home copy / Teacher-Chaperone Copy / Personal copy)
4. Notebook and pen.
5. Re-read and learn useful expressions in the foreign language that will be necessary to use.
6. A bilingual pocket dictionary.
7. Camera and film.
8. Sewing kit.
9. Medical kit (aspirin / bandaids, etc.)
10. Travel alarm clock.
11. Shower cap, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
12. Bedroom slippers.
13. Address Book.
14. Sunglasses.
15. Prescribed medications.
