Seville, in the heart of Andalucia, is the cultural center of the region. This is the home of the well known painters Murillo and Velazquez, and the famous writer Gongora. Seville owes much of its wealth and cultural heritage to her long associations with the New World. Much of the Spanish American gold found its way to this great city of the Iberian peninsula. During the course of the day you will see the Plaza de Espaņa, the largest Gothic Cathedral in existence, which has the Giralda Tower adjoining it, offering a panoramic view of the city.
