Day 1 - Departure
Evening departure. Dinner and breakfast served on board.

Day 2 - Madrid - Churros and Chocolate - Walking Tour
Upon arrival, you will be met by a Bravo representative and transferred to your hotel. While you wait for your room, you will go out for churros y chocolate. After your hotel check-in and a little rest, you will go for a bocadillo lunch at el museo de jamón. After lunch your walking tour will cover the following: Plaza de Espana - Plaza de Oriente - La catedral de nuestra senora de la Almudena - Plaza Mayor - La Puerta del Sol - La Iglesia de San Ginés - El monasterio de las Descalzas Reales - Gran Via - Plaza de Cibeles - La Puerta de Alcalá - El parque del Retiro. You will return to your hotel by metro for dinner and lodging.

Day 3 - Madrid - El Rastro - Plaza Mayor - La Corrida
Breakfast. You will go to El Rastro, Spain's greatest flea market. On the way back to your hotel, you will stop at the Plaza Mayor to see the philatelic market. In the afternoon you will go to see la corrida de toros. This day assumes a Sunday schedule. When la corrida is not in season, we will substitute another outdoor event. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.

Day 4 - The Shopping Market - The Cooking Class - The Zarzuela
Breakfast. Then you will go to the market to buy the ingredients that you will use in your cooking class. Your professional chef will teach you how to cook a typical Spanish meal. You'd better pay attention and follow instructions because after the class you must eat what you've made. In the evening you will attend La Zarzuela - Spain's comic opera. You need not understand the words to feel the music's beauty. La Zarzuela, when not in season, will be replaced by another theatrical event. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.

Day 5 - El Paseo De Arte
Breakfast. Today you visit the three museums which comprise Madrid's art triangle: the Prado, the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen. You will see some of the greatest works of Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Dalí, and Picasso. In the afternoon you will see a Spanish movie. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.

Day 6 - Lecture - Casa Mingo - La Ermita de San Antonio
Breakfast. Then you will be given a one-hour conference on Madrid's cultural reality. Afterwards, you will lunch at Casa Mingo, a restaurant which is over one hundred and fifty years old and which is noted for its pollo asado y sidra. After lunch you will stop in La Ermita de San Antonio to see the frescoes of Francisco Goya. After dinner at your hotel, you will go to a tablao to see a Flamenco show.

Day 7 - Museums - El Corte Inglés - Local Dining
Breakfast. Then, you may choose to visit up to three different museums, depending on your group's interests. In the afternoon, you will visit the famous department store, el Corte Inglés, for your last-minute gift shopping. In the evening you will have dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 8 - Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
