Morning tour of Toledo where you will visit the Cathedral, Santo Tomé Church, and see El Greco’s most famous painting, “The Burial of the Count Orgaz,” the Synagogue, Bisagra’s Gate, Alcántara’s Bridge and the Alcázar. After lunch, on to El Escorial, the 16th century monastery - palace and El Valle de los Caídos, Spain’s tribute to those who died during its Civil War. Late afternoon return to Madrid. Dinner and lodging.
Breakfast, Tour of Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa, where you will visit St. Teresa’s Temple, the Convent of St. Thomas and the Cathedral. Then, on to Segovia, with its universally famous Roman Aqueduct. Lunch. Dinner and lodging.
