Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque

Built on a beautiful beach-side estate, the Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque has set new standards in the development of tourism in the Canary Islands with its high-quality architecture and services.

The only five-star deluxe resort in the area, the hotel is situated on a gentle rise overlooking the sea, near the town of Adeje in Southern Tenerife; accessible to the Teide National Park, the island of La Gomera, and Reina Sofia Airport.

This oasis of luxury has 362 rooms, including 38 suites, divided among 19 houses. Faithfully designed to reflect turn-of-the century Canarian architecture with its noticeable Victorian and Venetian influences, the houses are built in two wings running out from the central "hub" (the reception area) of the hotel.

Four of them, called "Las Casas Ducales" (The Manor Houses), offer additional amenities which include butler service, a separate reception desk and breakfast room.

The hotel complex is divided into three distinct areas:

1. The entrance/reception building is where hotel and convention center combine. It has 19 public rooms for congresses and exhibitions, capable of holding up to 1,000 guests.With an excellent climate throughout the year, Southern Tenerife has a big attraction for conferences and incentive travel programs, which is amongst the principal target markets of the hotel.

2. Behind the main building, four swimming pools descend in tiers down the slope. Lovers of good food have four restaurants to choose from in this area offering typical Spanish, French, Italian, or buffet cuisine, enough to satisfy the most demanding tastes. A fountain-filled patio, ringed by three restaurants, two bars and a reading room, forms the center of this small town.

3. Besides beauty salon, and games area, our sport and leisure zone consists of a beach club, a sandy shore, swimming pool, squash courts and fitness center. It also offers a wide range of water sports and cultural activities, which will be enhanced even further once a planned open-air auditorium is built on the adjoining site.
