Morning tour of Toledo where you will visit the Cathedral, Santo Tomé Church, and see El Greco’s most famous painting, “The Burial of the Count Orgaz,” the Synagogue, Bisagra’s Gate, Alcántara’s Bridge and the Alcázar. After lunch, on to El Escorial, the 16th century monastery-palace and El Valle de los Caídos, Spain’s tribute to those who died during its Civil War. Late afternoon return to Madrid. Dinner and lodging.
Breakfast. Leave for Córdoba, the birthplace of the philosopher Seneca, where you will see the famed “Mezquita,” a fine example of mudéjar architecture. Afterwards, on to Sevilla, the capital of Andalucía. Dinner and lodging.
Breakfast. City tour visiting the Cathedral, the Giralda, the Alcázar and its gardens, and the Santa Cruz Quarters. Afternoon free to walk along the paths of beautiful María Luisa Park. Dinner and lodging.
Breakfast in Sevilla. Then, on to Granada and a city tour that visits the Red Citadel of the Alhambra Palace, the Generalife Gardens and the Palace of Charles V. Afterwards, continue to Costa del Sol. Your evening is free to enjoy the warmth of the south. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.
Breakfast. Morning tour of the charming village of Mijas. In the afternoon you are at leisure to enjoy swimming and sunbathing in the Mediterranean. Dinner and lodging in your hotel.
